Dr. Alan Medley was born and raised in Albany, Georgia. He earned his Bachelors of Science in Biology from Georgia Southern University. He then earned a Masters Degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Epidemiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After completion of his masters degree, he attended medical school at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Medley completed his emergency medicine residency training at the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
Dr. Medley is very involved in international medical missions. He has served in both Nicaragua and Haiti. Dr. Medley has also been involved in public health research projects in Jamaica and Haiti. He also enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family. He and his wife Brannon are blessed with three beautiful daughters. The Medleys are active members of Sherwood Baptist Church.
